Upwood's Out
Upwood's Out is an after school club, run by an independent voluntary committee, employing three members of staff.
- Co-ordinator/Supervisors
- Sue Sykes
- Fran Charman
- Linda Tinkler
The Club also has 'Relief Play Workers' who fill in for absence.
Although independent of Upwood School, we liaise closely with the Staff and Governors and value their continued support.
The Club is held from 3.30pm until 6pm every weekday, term time only.
It offers a safe, friendly environment where children can relax, play or take part in indoor and outdoor games.
- The Play Policy operated at the club is designed to allow the children maximum freedom to relax in a safe and friendly atmosphere after a structured day in the classroom.
- A wide range of toys and activities are on offer to appeal to the differing ages and interests of the children. Indoor and outdoor activities are available and facilities for doing homework.
- The staff will offer organised/pre-planned activities such as cooking, crafts, team games, usually agreed with the children in advance, including seasonal themes, local or school events.
- It is very much seen as a children's club. They have their own Committee and discuss resources and activities for the Club and plan fundraising for their chosen charities.
Before the children can attend the Club, parents/carers must complete a Registration Form. Bookings may only be made on a weekly, monthly or termly basis. Casual or daily bookings can be made, but places cannot be guaranteed.
Members are billed monthly. Non-members are expected to pay on collection. Membership registration and hourly charges can be obtained from the club, please telephone after 3.30pm.
- A handbook is available on request by contacting Sue Sykes on 01487 813510 (school office) or email Debbie Ayres: da@hinchbk.cambs.sch.uk**
