Upwood School PTA

Every parent and teacher is automatically a member of the PTA. We are extremely fortunate at Upwood School to have a high degree of involvement and commitment from our parents.

The PTA is actively involved in a full programme of educational, social and fundraising activities, from which the school benefit greatly. Our current chair is Mrs Cornthwaite- contact her through the school office at any time. The PTA raises funds for school, to provide vital extra resources for all the children.

Last year we managed to raise sufficient funding to purchase new playground equipment, Music and Handwriting schemes and arrange for a pantomime company to visit school, which all the children enjoyed. This year we need to continue to raise funds for the outside play areas and for new ICT equipment.

We also run a successful weather lottery – please ask for details. Meetings are held in the staffroom at school – please check the PTA notice board or ask in the office for the next date. YOUR SUPPORT IS VITAL IN HELPING TO ORGANISE THE EVENTS AND ATTENDING THEM. IT REALLY DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
